Welcome To Leeds & Bradford Model Boat Club

Boat House Winter 2015-1
Leeds & Bradford Model Boat Club was reformed in 2006, sailing at Yeadon Tarn on Wednesday and Sunday mornings from 9am - 12 noon throughout the year.  The club promotes the art of model boat design and construction in addition to sailing for pleasure and competition.
At the beginning of 2015 our membership has increased to 61 full sailing members, 25 social members and 8 junior members.
Annual subscriptions are Full Members £35 - Social and Junior members £7.
We now have our own clubhouse - small but cosy where refreshments, the usual bacon 'butties', full breakfasts are served, with special menus when competitions are being held.
Internal Competitions for members are held monthly  in 1.0M Sailing - RG64 - Marblehead - Power Steering - Tug Towing and Scale Sailing.  (See our calender of events for dates) in addition to inter club competitions.
Our members have a wealth of experience in all aspects of model boat building, steam and sailing and are all available and ready to help any member or enthusiast who wishes either verbal advice or 'hands-on' help.   We especially welcome junior members.
Amongst our members we have two boiler testers covering the MPBA and the Southern Federation.
LBMBC offers sailing in a safe and friendly environment within the reaches of West Yorkshire.
Our Secretary with the help of members organise many social activities outside of sailing throughout the year to involve family and friends.
Everyone is welcome - come along and visit us.  Members are more than willing to let you have a sail with their models or the club's "Try boat".
