Bart's Bash - The Biggest Little Boat Bash! 

The Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation (ASSF) set up in the memory of Olympic Gold medal winning sailor Andrew (Bart) Simpson, Hold a fund rasing event every September in the form of a yacht race known as "Bart's Bash". This event is a global yacht race with boats of all types taking part at yacht clubs in many countries and thousands of pounds are donated/raised towards the foundation.

The MYA would like to create a radio sailing section within “Bart’s Bash” to be called “The Biggest Little Boat Bash” and raise money for their “SailFit” programme. 

All MYA members are invited to take part in "The Biggest Little Boat Bash". The event will take place over the weekend of 14/15th September 2019 and you can use anyclass of radio controlled boat. 

Leeds and Bradford intend to take part in this event and encourage all members and friends to join us at the club house on Sunday 15th September 2019.

Annual Club Trip

We are looking forward to our annual club trip on Saturday 13th July 2019.

This year is a day out in the Lake District, which includes a ride on a steam train from Haverthwaite to Lakeside, followed by a journey on a lakeland steamer to Bowness, entry to Windermere Boat Museum and lunch.

Trip price is inclusive of return coach from club house and all activities.

PRESENTATION EVENING

Our annual presentation evening was held on Saturday 13th April 2019 at Peasehill House, Rawdon.

Congratulations to our winners Richard Smalley, Gavin Druce, Peter Barber, Martin Hallums and George Dines.

MODELMANIA!

In April 2019 many of our members participated in a special family friendly exhibition called Modelmania at Bradford Industrial Museum exploring modelling and why models are created.

The exhibition was greatly received by the public and the club gained some new members.

2018

ANNUAL TRIP

Summer 2018 saw the Annual club trip. This year was a 3 hour river cruise on the Teeside Princess with lunch on board. It was a great turnout and everyone who attended had a good time.

OTLEY SHOW:

Members came together in strength to put on a display at Otley Show where great interest was shown as well as skippers attending having a great day out.
